Marian Pritchett JFK is our infant toddler program located at Frank Church High School. The program provides safe, accessible, high-quality care for pregnant and parenting teens and staff in the Boise School District. Our mission is:
1. To provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for exploration and discovery
2. To maintain a safe and clean environment
3. To provide nourishing snacks to promote healthy eating habits
4. To encourage positive, physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth
Goals of the curriculum are:
• Help caregivers and parents see the child as an individual
• Ensure developmentally appropriate practices
• Address a child’s emerging skills
Children will be provided a variety of opportunities to engage in:
• Dramatic play (dolls, stuffed animals, familiar household items, etc.)
• Sensory/art exploration (water play, finger paints, markers, crayons, play dough, etc.)
• Curiosity possibilities (look, chew, bang, shake, build and listen)
• Literacy opportunities (books, signing, stories read aloud, finger plays, rhyme and repetition)
• Music (background music, singing, dancing, rhythm instruments, etc.)
• Movement (jumping, running, walking, playing ball, riding tricycles, etc.)
• Outdoor play (climbing equipment, watching clouds, picnics, walks, buggy rides, etc.)
